Queensland Mint is proud to present the 2017 1oz Australian Koala Silver Coin.

One of Australia's most iconic coin series, the Australian Koala has been a popular design since its inception in 2008. Originally set as an uncapped mintage coin in parallel to the Australian Kangaroo, in more recent years their mintage has been strictly limited, making them popular between investors and collectors alike.

• Contains 1oz 999  Fine Silver

• Protective acrylic capsule 

• Australian legal tender with a face value of $1

• Please note: As a back year coin released in 2017 it is no longer minted and has been sold out at the Perth Mint.

Reverse: potrays a koala sitting at the base of a eucalyptus tree with a second tree in the background.

Obverse: bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
